In the mid-century, the industrialized nations began to place a high emphasis on engineering, mechanization, and computer science. Humanity set its goals higher than ever before and identified the next frontier: space. In Europe and America, a higher emphasis was being placed on teaching math and science to children, to prepare them to be future innovators. This contributed to the rise of a design style aptly named retrofuturism. The retrofuturism aesthetic is reminiscent of the techoptimism and feeling of potential present during the mid-century. We call upon the distinct, nostalgic, and familiar design style of the mid-century to bring this optimism into the Project Infinity story.
Drawing on inspiration from sci-fi movies, books, and data generated space travel diagrams, we pulled together a retro-futurism inspired look for Infinity - the brand has a nostalgic edge, speaking to the tech-optimism of the past, while creating something never done before.
